The Trends in Media and Communication Conference (TiMC) is a biennial conference launched by the Department of Communication Studies of the University of Ghana in 2021. It was born out of a growing need to provide platforms for media and communication scholars across the globe and Africa, in particular, to engage on the fast-paced evolutions within the world’s media and communication ecology. As a virtual conference, the TiMC presents researchers and practitioners a relatively affordable platform for much-needed conversations while saving the carbon footprints that often accompany scholars’ participation in academic conferences.
This year, the Conference is scheduled for 1-3rd November, 2023. It will discuss The African Youth and Communicative Bahaviours in Digital Spaces (see CFP here). Participants from both academia and industry will share their perspectives, research and experiences.
There will be two main speakers: Prof Tanja Bosch of the University of Cape Town, and Mad. Beryl Agyekum, Chief Executive Officer of Echohouse Ghana Limited.
