Explored in this course is the methodology of polling and precision journalism as well as writing stories using results of opinion polls as news sources. Public Opinion as political communication is examined. The theory and method for measuring public opinion are also discussed. Forms of indigenous public opinion are identified, discussed and analysed. The nature, formulation, and impact of public opinion and public opinion polls on democratic governance are further explored.
