EPP Books Services honour Professor Audrey Gadzekpo

Management of EPP Books Services on October 29, 2021, joined the Department of Communication Studies of the University of Ghana to honour Professor Audrey Gadzekpo for her promotion to full professorship and retirement from active service.

The staff of the company, led by Mrs. Emma Wurah, presented a brand-new laptop and a printer to Professor Gadzekpo to appreciate her profound contribution to the nation as an astute scholar, educator, activist and role model.

Mrs. Wurah said that Professor Gadzekpo is an asset to Ghana and serves as a female role model, not just to Ghanaians but the world at large. "Most people have been fortunate to be under her tutelage whilst some of us have learnt from her at a distance, reading about her and her achievements," Mrs. Wurah said.

Mrs. Wurah also said that though Professor Gadzekpo is retiring from active service to the University, EPP Books Services believes she would still continue imparting beneficial knowledge to the good people of Ghana, hence, their decision to present her with the equipment. 

Professor Gadzekpo indicated her readiness to continue contributing her quota stating that “these gadgets will be useful". She added that given its commitment to education and contributions to the sector, EPP Books Services company is under-celebrated. Professor Gadzekpo said that the University of Ghana should look to collaborative endeavours with the company for their mutual benefits.  

The Head of the Department of Communication Studies, Dr. Abena Animwaa Yeboah-Banin, thanked Mr. Gibrine Adam, Chief Executive Officer, and the entire staff of the EPP Books Services for the kind gesture.
