This course introduces students to the statistical software package STATA. Although STATA offers access to almost all of its commands in a point andclick fashion through a Graphical User Interface (GUI), this course will focus on teaching the command syntax, and will, in general ignore the drop down menus. These drop down menus are useful in that they give
the user an idea of the range of STATA’s statistical, data management, and graphical capabilities and can help in learning the syntax for a particular command.
