BEOH 672 :CLIMATE CHANGE AND DISASTER RISK REDUCTION

The contents of this course include definition of terms used in climate change, the theory and science of climate change including green house gases, their emissions and contribution to warming of the earth’s atmosphere. It also touches on impact of climate change on different sectors such as agriculture and food security, water resources and management, biodiversity and health. The course will explain direct and indirect impacts of climate change on populations and concepts of mitigation and adaptation to climate change and climate variability.
