Mini Workshop on Online/Onsite Examination

As part of the preparation towards the end of first semester 2023 academic year online/onsite examination, Academic Affairs Directory in collaboration with University of Ghana Computing Systems and CTLI is organising a one and half hour hybrid mini training workshop and discussions on challenges and anomalies that are normally notice during the examination on Sakai, for the examiners who have requested to write their exams online/onsite and online/offsite. 

The training will, among others, treat and discuss topics such as;

  • Setting up of question using the question tool (using the simple steps) 

  • Update and editing existing question pool

  • Using randomization

  • Improving question format and use of less patronised tools eg. Use of images, parts and sections 

  • Setting up date, time and duration, password and the use of IP address (examiners taking total control of the examination)

  • Understanding sessions for large class exams (500+) and setting questions for such classes 

  • Setting exemptions for the visual impaired students

  • Handling/resolving student challenges on the exam day. 

 

There will be also be a discussion on setting examinable question for online/onsite examination (What the examiners should know before, during and after the examination).
