Maiden Issue of UG Spotlight Published

Starting December 20, 2021 - Ending December 20, 2022 Expired

The Public Affairs Directorate introduces a new publication, UG Spotlight, which solely celebrates the achievements of members of the University community. As a quarterly e-bulletin, UG Spotlight, is also intended to publicise members’ extraordinary service to the nation and international community.

We are determined to tell our own story in our own voice/words. The UG community can boast of unparalleled expertise to drive the discourse of nation building through impactful research and heroic acts of humanism.  As you will see with the stories published in this maiden UG Spotlight, the UG story is vanquishing, captivating and full of hope.

For future editions, we encourage all Colleges/Units of the community to publish the achievements of members on their websites and share the links to such stories/news with the Public Affairs Directorate. The intention is to share those links to lead readers to the various websites for the full story and to navigate for more information about those Units.

Our students who have excelled are also featured in our ‘Student Achievers’ Column of this e-bulletin.

Our cherished alumni who are blazing the trail and making significant impacts in their diverse fields are also captured under the ‘Alumni Spotted’ section.

Following this maiden edition, subsequent achievements will be published on the UG Spotlight Page (on UG Homepage) immediately a notice is received by the Public Affairs Directorate, and these will be compiled on quarterly basis.

Congratulations to all the awardees, appointees and achievers featured here!  We thank you for setting the pace for others to follow.

Ayeekoo to the Staff of Public Affairs Directorate (PAD) and the University of Ghana Computing Systems (UGCS) who made this publication a reality.

To the rest of the UG community, happy reading!
