The Balme Library would like to bring to the attention of students, staff and the general public, improved security measures at the Library. This is due to some theft cases that have been recorded at the Library for some time.
Effective Wednesday, February 1, 2023, the following forms of access control will be implemented:
Continuing students will be required to show their student ID cards while Level 100 students will be required to show their proof of registration on every visit to the library. Students from other universities will also be required to show their student ID cards.
Non-student Ghanaian visitors will be required to show their Ghana card or any recognized photo ID. In case of foreigners, their passports will be required.
All visitors will be required to write their names and other personal details in a notebook at the entrance before accessing the library.
All users are being advised to stay alert and not leave valuable items unattended or in the hands of strangers.
