AREN 618: Agricultural Materials Handling

This course aims at showing students the principles of handling agricultural materials within the agricultural production value chain to ensure good quality products are delivered to the final consumer. Some of the topics to be treated will include design consideration for receiving agricultural products, the principles of selecting optimum equipment sets, selection techniques to minimize harvesting bottlenecks, system reliability and how to effectively transport agricultural produce.
