AREN 615: Energy Systems

Energy is the main driving force for most agricultural mechanization activities, as such this course will teach the students about the theory and applications of energy systems. Topics with focus on energy conversion systems and devices (cogeneration, heat pump, fuel cell, hydroelectric, wind, photovoltaic, and biomass conversion processes) will be treated. Methods for analyzing the input-output of energy systems, energy balances, thermodynamic availability, economics, and environmental considerations for energy systems will also be treated.
