AREN 605: Agro Meteorology

The purpose of this course is the introduction students to meteorological instruments and observations. Students will also be introduced to meteorological and climatic elements, atmospheric dynamics, radiation and evaporation/evapotranspiration; weather analysis and forecasting. The focus of the course will be on physical climatology, weather hazards, crop yield estimation (FAO and other models for crop yield estimation, sample plot yield estimation); application of physical principles involved in agro climatology and hydrology.
