AREN 604: Soil and Water Conservation

This course covers conservation and the environment; water erosion and control practices. Students will be introduced to the types of soil erosion and factors affecting erosion by water. Also to be discussed in the course are some important parameters such as wind erosion and control practices, types of soil movement and mechanics of wind erosion. The focus of the course will also be on vegetated waterways, other field structures, terracing, terrace classification, terrace design and construction.
