Research Interests/Activities:

My research falls under the broader theme of biology and borders on evolutionary ecology, parasitology and medical entomology. Generally my interest lies in better understanding the role of the environment, vectors, hosts and parasites, as well as their overall interactions in influencing transmission dynamics of tropical diseases, with the aim of contributing towards disease control and alleviating poverty particularly among rural dwellers. Current research activities I am engaged in are as follows:

·      Malaria parasite fitness modulation of Anopheles mosquitoes

·      Ecological immunology of malaria/Anopheles mosquito interactions

·      Environmental stress responses ofmosquito vectors of diseases

·      Indigenous/ Traditional Ghanaian means of human insect pest control

·      Impact of parasite (endo and ecto) infections on livestock production

·      Characterization of bedbugs and identification of environmental factors influencing their fitness

·      Cattle as zoonotic source of human Cryptosporodiosis infections
