Diseases and/or infections which are naturally transmissible from vertebrate animals to man; animals considered as possible sources of infection: dogs, rodents, cats, pigs. Epidemiology of some zoonotic diseases: rabies, brucelliosis, tapeworm (Cysticercosis/Taeniasis), echinococcosis/hydatidosis, toxoplasmosis and topical zoonotic infections. Potential and real health risk factors due to animals and their products. The role of the international agencies in the management of these diseases.
