Diseases and/or infections which are naturally transmissible from vertebrate animals to man; animals considered as possible sources of infection: dogs, rodents, cats, pigs. Epidemiology of some zoonotic diseases: rabies, brucelliosis, tapeworm (Cysticercosis/Taeniasis), echinococcosis/hydatidosis, toxoplasmosis and topical zoonotic infections. Potential and real health risk factors due to animals and their products. The role of the international agencies in the management of these diseases. Cases of zoonotic disease epidemics and their management.
