THEA 635 (GENERAL ELECTIVE): Writing for the Media

This course challenges student writers to think critically about what they write as well as how they do it. It is a practical course

comprising writing labs on ways to: identify, report and construct accurate and interesting articles under deadline pressure;

examine procedures on editing, publication design, publicity; and advice on how to succeed as a freelance. Real-life case studies

and advice from top practitioners form part of the course.
