THEA 632 (GENERAL ELECTIVE): Design of Theatrical Props

This course explores the craft of theatrical props design and creation. It aims at providing students with professional skills

needed to mould and create props for the theatre and film industry. Students will study the characteristics of colour, and the

use of papier mache on clay form, expandable polystyrene, foil, and making of plaster moulds. Other areas will include woodwork,

upholstery, draping and metalwork. Students will be required to work on major productions within the department and outside.
