THEA 621 (GENERAL ELECTIVE): Dance Theatre

This course examines the tools of movement and the use of abstraction as expressive vocabulary in the creation of

theatre through dance. Topics to be discussed include   elements of movement and body awareness; improvisational

techniques using time, space, weight, shape, dynamics, design, and effort as the instrument of expression; dance as a

force in culture and society amid ethnic, social, and theatrical traditions.
