THEA 619 (GENERAL ELECTIVE): Theatre Period Studies

This course is a survey of historical periods and design styles in theatre. The study covers architecture, costumes, furniture,

lighting, decorations and stage scenery. It examines the concept and practice spanning the development in various cultures

across the globe. Through readings and screenings, students will be required to make presentations in selected periods and

aspect of theatre practice relevant to their area of specialisation.
