THEA 618 (APPLIED THEATRE): Theatre Entrepreneurship

This is an advanced course in theatre as a business enterprise. It examines the nature, functions, responsibilities and tools of the

theatre entrepreneur. Key issues to be discussed include: national policies and industry regulations; arts administration, marketing,

artistic direction, theatre technology, scenography, technical directing, problems of entrepreneurship and the role of the performing arts

in the national economy. Students undertake special projects and assignments under faculty supervision for assessment.
