THEA 608(Special Area Core): Theatrical Composition and Performance

This course examines a diverse range of theatrical performance practices using key

theoretical concepts in the field of performance studies. It will focus on the process of

developing performance pieces from concept through rehearsals to final production.

Theatre as a composite art form will be critically examined in relation to the production of

a variety of theatrical forms. Students will create their own performance pieces, reflecting their critical thinking through their work.
