THEA 602 (General Core): Ghanaian Drama and Theatre

This course covers Ghanaian playwrights and Ghanaian theatre as a significant part of the country’s cultural history.

It further explores the contribution of drama and theatre to the construction and deconstruction of national identity.

The course will focus on the social, political, and aesthetic contexts of Ghanaian drama through the study of dramatic forms and selected texts.
