Netball was introduced in the first semester of the 2013/2014 academic year.  It has also been introduced into the GUSA (Ghana Universities Sports Association) main disciplines and was played for the first time among public universities at the 23rd Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA Games) from 12 to 29 June, 2014 at University of Cape Coast.
