The course will critically examine adolescents as a special group of people in transition from childhood into adulthood. It will also explore their unique level of independence, which makes them likely to take decisions that could have adverse health implications. This course seeks to provide students with knowledge on social issues that have health implications for adolescents. The course will also expose students to specific adolescents’ health concerns and problems resulting from their behaviour. Students will be exposed to the role adolescent peer pressure plays in influencing adolescent behavior. social behaviour and the choices they make regarding their health.
