The Department of Psychology congratulates Dr Collins Badu Agyemang on his promotion to Associate Professor of Industrial and Organisational Psychology. He becomes the youngest scholar in his area of specialty to reach this rank in the Department since 1967. A licensed Industrial and Organisational Psychologist and Chartered Human Resource Practitioner, he also serves as Director of the Pan-African Doctoral Academy at the University of Ghana. His work bridges scholarship and practice across workplace wellbeing, organisational development, and mental health in African organisations.
Known affectionately to colleagues and students as the Pracademic ABC, Prof Agyemang is widely recognised for integrating research with real-world practice. His leadership at the Pan-African Doctoral Academy has supported emerging scholars from across the continent. His scholarly record on flexible working, human resource development, and workplace mental health continues to inform policy and practice in Ghana and beyond. The Department is delighted by this recognition of his work.
A scholar who refuses to leave evidence on the shelf, Prof Agyemang has built a career on making organisational psychology useful for African workplaces.
