CALL FOR APPLICATION: AFRICA REGIONAL INTERNATIONAL STAFF/STUDENTS EXCHANGE (ARISE)
AREAS OF STUDY FOOD SECURITY AND SUSTAINABLE HUMAN WELLBEING
The Office of Research, Innovation and Development is pleased to announce the Call for Application for Staff and Students mobilities on the ARISE Programme. The programme is a consortium led by the University of Cape Town with University of Ghana, Addis Ababa University, University of Rwanda, University of Nairobi and Makerere University and seeks to promote mutual institutional knowledge among partners.
- STUDENT MOBILITY
Students who have been registered for Masters or Doctoral studies at the University of Ghana in the fields of Agriculture, Medical Sciences, Engineering and Energy are invited to apply to the Call. Mobility period: 10 months (minimum) – 12 months (maximum)
Coverage of Scholarship:
Ø Round trip economy class airfare and Visa Costs
Ø Tuition and Service Fees where applicable
Ø Monthly Subsistence: €600 Masters, €900 Doctorates
Ø Medical Aid
Application Requirements for Masters and Doctoral exchanges:
Ø Candidate must be a registered student at their home university.
Ø Must secure an academic host (supervisor/mentor) at the host university
Ø Applications are considered on merit and must meet academic requirements

- STAFF MOBILITY
The Staff Mobility is designed for professional development of academic and administrative staff at partner universities. The aim of the mobility is to create a mutual institutional knowledge.
Mobility periods:
Ø Academic Staff – 1-3 months
Ø Administrative Staff – 1 month
Mobility Date
Start date: October 2016
End date: no later than 31 December 2017
The Scholarship Covers:
Ø Round trip economy class airfare and Visa Costs
Ø Tuition and Service Fees where applicable
Ø Monthly Subsistence: €1000 staff members
Ø Medical Aid
