Academic Qualifications
Dr. Henry Nettey is a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Pharmacy. In his current position, he is the head of the Pharmaceutics and Microbiology Department and teaches courses in Pharmaceutics. Dr. Nettey specializes in drug formulations and his research focuses on micro and nanoparticulate drug formulations and drug targeting.
Dr. Nettey has authored and co-authored numerous articles which have been published in renowned peer-reviewed journals. He has won a number of research grants and presented his work at high profile meetings such as American Society of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and the Tropical Medicine Conference in the U.S.A.
Dr. Nettey received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Toronto in 1994, and was the first person to obtain a dual PharmD/PhD degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Mercer University, Atlanta, Georgia in 2005.
