We are pleased to invite you to the information days on the Erasmus+ Programme and the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme funded by the European Union. The events will take place in Libreville (Gabon) and in Accra (Ghana) on the following dates:  

The information days are organised by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission in cooperation with the EU Delegations to Gabon and Ghana and the African Union Commission.

The main objective of the events is to brief the representatives of higher education institutions in Gabon, Ghana and neighbouring countries, on the funding opportunities offered by the second Call for proposals of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme and by the Erasmus+ programme. This event will be also a good opportunity for the participants to meet other stakeholders active in the field of higher education and to network. The last session will present the existing scholarship opportunities for the targeted individuals, students and staff members under the Erasmus+ programme, IntraACP and Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Schemes.

The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme is based on the positive experience of the Africa component of the Intra-ACP Academic Mobility Scheme (2010-2013). The programme funds partnerships between higher education institutions from different countries and regions in Africa and grants scholarships for students, academic and administrative staff members to carry out studies, research or teaching in another African country.

Under the first Call for proposals launched in March 2016, seven projects were selected and started their activities in November 2016.

The second Call for proposals was published on 28 January 2017 with a total available budget of EUR 10 million which will allow funding 7 to 8 projects. The deadline for the submission of applications is 2 May 2017.
