International Lipid-Based Nutrient Supplements Project (iLiNS)

This is being conducted in the Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Malawi. The project is designed to build on previous work with lipid-based nutrient supplements (LNS) in Ghana and Malawai which indicated that such supplement could improve child growth and development in low-income population.

WHO-Multi-Centre Growth Reference Study

The study was carried out in six countries around the world: Brazil, Ghana, India, Norway, Oman and USA. This study has resulted in the release of the WHO Child Growth Standard which is now used all over the world.

Bean/Cowpea-CSRP project

Collaborative study with the Department of Food Science and Technology, University of Georgia, Griffin Campus, to develop cowpea-based value added foods with high nutritive value preferred by consumers and food processors. The project has a strong capacity building component. Funded by USAID.

Enhancing Child Nutrition through Animal Source food Management (ENAM) Project:

The ENAM Project was funded through the Global Livestock – CRSP funded in part by US-AID. The project focused on Enhancing Child Nutrition through Animal Source Food Management.

Coca Starter Project:

This was a European Union (EU) support project through the Marie-Curie International Incoming Fellowship Programme. The project developed a starter culture for cocoa beans fermentation.
