The Ghana Association of University Administrators, GAUA, Legon Branch, has held an end of year reception for its members at the ISSER Conference Facility grounds. The reception was to give members an opportunity to fraternize as well as honour past executives of the association and retired members and present a cash donation from members to support the University of Ghana Sports Endowment Fund.

Making brief welcome remarks, the President of GAUA, Legon Branch, Mrs. Cynthia Adu appreciated members for the active support and patronage of the association’s activities. She acknowledged the hard work done by members in their various roles in the university throughout the year and said the party was an opportunity to relax and have fun.

Dr. Harry Agbanu, President of UTAG, Legon in a goodwill message underscored the interdependent relationship between GAUA and UTAG. He noted that both academic staff and administrative staff need each other’s support to perform their roles effectively for the smooth running of the University. He also expressed the hope that GAUA and UTAG would team up to have joint programmes to deepen relations between the two groups.

He recounted a few challenges during their tenure including the apathy towards GAUA activities. He was however pleased to see renewed interest in the group and entreated members to support the current executives for the advancement of GAUA for all members.
