Senior Management of the University led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu has paid a one-day working visit to the College of Health Sciences, Korle-Bu.
The visit, according to the Vice-Chancellor, was in response to reports about the poor state of some academic facilities in the College. It was therefore Senior Management’s reconnaissance tour to enable Senior Management see at firsthand the state of the facilities to enable them take informed action on how to improve the facilities.
The Vice-Chancellor and his team were taken to various departments/units of the two schools of the College of Health Sciences on the Korle-Bu Campus; the School of Medicine and Dentistry, and the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences.

He also visited the School Clinic for students and staff and the mortuary for the Department of Anatomy, School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences. He was also taken to some hostels of the College. The Vice-Chancellor said he was hopeful that the Senior Management would be able to pull resources to fix urgent needs in the College within the shortest possible time.
The Senior Management was received by the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Reverend Professor Patrick F. Ayeh-Kumi, the College Secretary- Mr. Michael Opare Atuah, the Dean of the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences-Professor Ofori-Acquah, some officials of the College and some heads of department of the two schools.
The Provost of the College thanked the University Senior Management for making time to visit the College. He said that he was happy the Vice-Chancellor and University Senior Management were at the College to see for themselves the state of facilities in the College and the work that had been accomplished by the College and the help that the College still require from the University with respect to projects that need urgent attention. He was hopeful that urgent help will be given to these projects.
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Development) Professor Francis Dodoo, the Registrar, Mrs. Mercy Haizel-Ashia, Professor Samuel Agyei-Mensah, Provost of the College of Humanities, Professor Michael Tagoe, Ag. Provost of the College of Education, and the Director of Physical Development & Municipal Services (PDMSD), Mr. Kofi Nti, the Estates Manager, Mr. Kwabena Adjei Asare, and Mr. Joseph Oduro Nkansah, Senior Assistant Registrar- Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
