Vice-Chancellor Receives Delegation from Okayama University

A delegation from  Okayama University has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ebenezer Oduro Owusu. The delegation, which arrived in Ghana to inaugurate the International Alumni Association of the Okayama University was led by the President, Prof. Kiyoshi Morita.

Welcoming the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor emphasised the significant role Okayama University has played in training Ghanaian students and administrators over the years. He indicated that the initiative taken by Management of Okayama University to inaugurate its International Alumni Association in Ghana underpins the value of the mutual partnership between the two countries and the two universities.  He added that the Alumni Association would strengthen relations between the two countries and their universities.  He wished the delegation a successful inaugural ceremony.

Dr. Stephen Abenney-Mickson, former Acting Dean, School of Engineering Sciences, University of Ghana, Prof. Robert Kingsford Adaboh, Acting Dean, School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Dr. John Apambilla, Technical Advisor for Water and Sanitation of Samaritan’s Purse, USA, alumni of Japanese universities and beneficiaries of Japanese training and education were present at the meeting. 

The President of Okayama University was accompanied by Dr. Zhang Hong, Chairperson of Okayama University, and Dr. Sugimoto, an Anesthesiologist at Okayama University Hospital.

Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu and Prof. Kiyoshi Morita presented gifts on behalf of their Institutions.
