Vice-Chancellor Receives Delegation from the Embassy of Japan

 

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu and Ms. Teragaki Yuriya

A delegation from the Embassy of Japan has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu. The delegation was made up of Ms. Teragaki Yuriya, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan; and Ms. Prudence Kuuridong, Assistant, Cultural/Information Section, Embassy of Japan, Ghana.

Ms. Teragaki Yuriya in brief remarks disclosed that the purpose of the visit was to make known to the Vice-Chancellor her new position as the First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan. She was optimistic that the existing relationship between Japan and the University of Ghana will be strengthened during her tenure.

Ms. Yuriya takes over from Mr. Iida Masashi, whose 3-year tenure ended as First Secretary, Embassy of Japan.

In brief remarks, the Vice-Chancellor expressed his delight for the visit and advised Ms. Teragaki Yuriya to be diligent in her duties. He further assured her of the University’s support.

Present at the meeting was Prof. Boateng Onwona-Agyeman, Dean, School of Engineering Sciences.
