UG holds Third Annual Choral Festival

The University of Ghana has organised the third edition of the Easter Choral Music Festival at the R.S. Amegashie Hall of the University of Ghana Business School. Seven student choirs and a guest choir rendered a repertoire of songs and choruses by local and foreign composers.

The student choirs consisted of the UG Jubilee choir, the Choral Ensemble (Department of music), the Association of Adventist Students’ Choir (GNAAS), the Pax Romana Choir, the Aldersgate Choir (GHAMSU), and The Levites (National Union of Presbyterian Students-Ghana) and the Chosen Vessels. El Dunamis Choir was the guest choir.

The musical festival is an initiative of University Senior Management, which seeks to introduce extra-curricula programmes and activities to enliven and enrich cultural experiences on campus, as well as provide a formal platform for competitive performance for the choral groups in and out of the University community.
