TEWU Pays Courtesy Call on Acting Vice-Chancellor

The University of Ghana branch of the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU), led by their Vice-Chairman, Mr. Benjamin Nkumsah, paid a courtesy call on the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. The purpose of their visit was to congratulate Prof. Appiah Amfo on her appointment as the Acting Vice-Chancellor and present the concerns of members to her.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the visit. She indicated that in achieving the University’s vision of becoming a world class research intensive University, the input of all workers is required. Prof. Amfo charged the Union leaders to inculcate positive work ethics in their members and assured the Union of the unwavering support of the University Council and Management. She was hopeful that the concerns raised would be given the requisite attention.

Present at the meeting were Mrs. Arhizah Blay-Abiti, Senior Assistant Registrar, Office of the Acting Vice-Chancellor and other members of the TEWU delegation including Mr. Naa Zakaria Gumah, Secretary; Mrs. Naa Ahenei Adjei, Assistant Secretary and Mr. Daniel Dogblorwu, Trustee.
