SFAO Receives GH¢30,000 from Ecobank

Ecobank Ghana limited, has presented a cheque for GH¢30,000 to support needy and brilliant students at the University of Ghana. The donation is the third in three years and forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the bank.

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Kweku Osam, commended Ecobank for their generosity and for considering the needs of the needy and brilliant students of the University. He expressed the hope that the gesture will continue in subsequent years and that the amount will be increased with time.

The Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana and West Africa Monetary Zone Cluster (WAMZ), Mr. Samuel Ashitey Adjei, who is also an alumnus of the University of Ghana, presented the cheque to Prof. Osam. He assured the University that the amount will be reviewed from time to time.

The presentation ceremony was attended by Mrs. Christine Baning, Head of the Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) and Mr. Andrews Avumegah, Senior Administrative Assistant, SFAO. The team from Ecobank included Mrs. Vivian Ahene-Affoh, Manager of the Legon Branch of Ecobank and Mrs. Grace Kuwornu from the Marketing Department of Ecobank-Legon Branch.
