Prof. Eric Danquah To Serve On SAGNA, IAEA

Prof. Eric Danquah, Director of the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI), University of Ghana has been invited to serve as a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Standing Advisory Group for Nuclear Applications (SAGNA).  This was communicated to Prof. Danquah by the Director General of the IAEA, Yukiya Amano.

The Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Applications provides advice to the Director General on the Agency’s activities in the application of nuclear techniques carried out within the programmes of the Department of Nuclear Science and Applications.

SAGNA is composed of about 25 members, appointed by the Director General and members are senior experts in the area of nuclear sciences and applications, drawn from research and technological centres, academic institutions and nuclear industry.
