Launch of “Yes to the SDGs” Raffle on UG Campus

The Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST), University of Ghana is partnering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Advisory Unit of the Office of the President to sensitise the general public on the SDGs.

The SDG secretariat of the Office of the President launched a raffle on 2nd May 2019 dubbed “Yes to the SDGs”. This raffle is aimed at widen the public’s knowledge on the 17 goals.  Participants stand a chance of winning weekly prizes with an ultimate prize of a 4x4 Mahindra KUV100 car after the 90-day raffle period which has been on display at vantage points on campus since 6th May 2019.

IAST is championing this raffle by interacting with students and the public to create awareness on the SDGs.

Members of the University Community were briefed on the SDGs and the roles each one is expected to play to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity.  To participate in the ruffle, send “START” to SMS code “1470” or dial USSD *714*13# on all networks to answer questions related to the SDGs.
