Faculty and Training Methodology
Resource Persons are chosen among academics, diplomats, officers of international organisations, members of non-governmental organisations, human rights activists, members of police, armed forces and prisons.
The training is provided through a balanced mix of traditional lectures and interactive methodologies such as simulation exercises and role-playing. At ITPPGG's courses, the sharing of knowledge and experience of participants is an essential part of the teaching and learning process. Time is available for open discussions in class. .../Top
Active Learning Package
The ITPPGG has developed a professional Active Learning Package distributed to participants after each training course. This provides an in depth knowledge on the major international legal instruments, on current literature on the topic of the training, suggestion for future research as well as useful websites for further information. .../Top
Certificates
For both the Foundation and Specialisation Courses, a certificate of participation is given to participants who attend at least 75% of the classes. .../Top
Scholarships
Depending on the Training Course, participants selected for either the Foundation or Specialisation Courses generally receive a contribution towards their travel and living expenses. The amount of this contribution may vary according to the country participants are coming from. .../Top
Evaluation Methodology
Since its establishment, the ITPPGG has been evaluating its work through anonymous Evaluation Forms, filled in by participants, enquiring about the performance of resource persons, the balance of the trainings and the logistics of the course. These have enabled the ITPPGG to keep a direct and active live link with its participants and specifically to continually improve its services, in particular the agenda of its courses, the teaching performance of resource persons and the logistics during courses. .../Top
