DESCRIPTION OF ORIENTATION PROGRAM

There is an ISEP-specific orientation which includes Lectures and Historical Tours

ORIENTATION LECTURES
This deals with academic, social, cultural, travel, safety, etiquette medical, religion, immigration procedures, political and Ghanaian lifestyle issues.

ISEP ORGANISED EXCURSIONS/TRIPS
Accra City Tour, this would take you to places of historical importance including: Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, W.E.B. DuBois Center, Shopping Areas in Accra and in surrounding areas near the campus.

Cape Coast Castle & Kakum National Park

Kumasi:
Cultural Center, Bonwire Kente Cloth Weaving Village, Ahwiaa Wood Carving Village, Manyhia Palace Museum, Kumasi Central Market

Akosombo
Ride the Dodi Princess on the Volta Lake and Akosombo Dam

OPTIONAL TRIP/EXCURSION TO NORTHERN REGION:
ISEP Resident Director Theresa Kwakye organizes an optional trip to the Northern Region of Ghana that ISEP students are welcome to participate in for a fee of $250. The cost of the trip includes: Ground Transportation on air-conditioned vehicle which will be with the group throughout the journey; accommodation at the Engineering Guest House, Kumasi, and Mole National Park and fees to Park. Minimum number of student needed for trip to be organized is 15.
