Akyaa Afreh Arhin

Akyaa Afreh Arhin is a lawyer with a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) from Temple University, USA. She obtained her professional law qualification in 1998 and her experience has been in Commerce, Finance & Investments, Corporate & Commercial Law, Gender, Labor and Property & Real Estate. Akyaa has represented several clients at board level and worked as a project team member of the World Bank sponsored retrofitting of the Ghana trade and investment gateway strategy. Akyaa was member of the team that negotiated for a $30 million OPIC loan facility for Ghana Home Loans Limited (GHL), a mortgage finance company in Ghana. Notably, Akyaa was a member of the legal team that drafted the now promulgated Procurement and Concessions Act, 2005 of Liberia.

Akyaa has a lot of experience in the review of contracts and agreements including providing contracts review advice to the Government of Liberia. She was member of the team that represented two (2) US companies in business process out-sourcing and also member of the team that represented a consortium of three (3) firms in a major share acquisition in the Fidelity Bank (Ghana).

Akyaa previously worked in the Corporate Law Department of Deloitte, Ghana and was the head of the Legal Department of Intercontinental Bank Ghana Limited
