The department currently employs 12 non-teaching staff who provide technical and administrative services to support teaching, research and extension activities in the department. The technicians have competency in specimen collections, preservation, and cataloguing, preservation, microscopy, mounting of slides, and taxidermy, and the administrative staff have the requisite secretarial skills and computer literacy.
