UNIVERSITY OF GHANA
SPORTS DIRECTORATE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions in the Sports Directorate of the University of Ghana:

1. COACH in the under-listed disciplines:

• Racket Games: Badminton and Tennis (1)
• Tennis (1)
• Basketball, Handball and Volleyball (1)
• Hockey, Cricket and Basketball (1)
• Swimming (1)


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants must:
• Hold at least a Diploma in P.E. and / or Sports awarded by a recognized institution;
• Hold at least Basic (Level 1) Coaching Certificate awarded by a recognized International Olympic Sports Federation;
• Be computer literate;
• Have a minimum of four (4) years working experience.

2. SPORTS ORGANIZERS
(3) in the under-listed disciplines:

i. Fitness and Wellness
ii. Events Management, Marketing, Business promotion and Institutional Advancement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


For (2i), applicants must hold at least a First degree in Sports and Exercise Science awarded by a recognized institution;

For (2ii), applicants must hold a First degree from a recognized institution plus a professional certificate in Management and /or Leadership.

Have a minimum of four (4) years relevant working experience.

In all cases, applicants must be computer literate.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Candidates who meet the above criteria may download and complete application forms for Junior and Senior Staff from the University’s website at www.ug.edu.gh/hrodd.

Completed application forms duly supported with a detailed CV, photocopies of relevant certificates and names of three referees who are acquainted with applicant’s academic/professional competence should be returned to the : Director, HRODD, University of Ghana, P.O.Box LG 25, Legon not later than June 30, 2012.
