The Alumni Centre will not only provide offices for the university’s alumni office staff, but as the Secretariat for the Alumni Association, the Centre will be the hub for alumni activities and social functions. Added features include a modest Guest Centre, Council Chamber for meetings, a Resource/Information Centre, Internet Café, bar/coffee house, restaurant, all set in a large and beautiful landscaped courtyard to provide an African touch.

We have sent an appeal to our alumni worldwide to contribute to the Centre. In addition, an appeal is being made to organisations and institutions where the university’s alumni are placed, to match that of their staff by making a corporate contribution to this project. Manufacturing companies in the building industry are also encouraged to donate in kind their products.

Organisations that make a corporate contribution will be invited to display their corporate identities on two large bill boards that will adorn the courtyard as a way of perpetuating their contribution to the project. And so are there other ways of highlighting the contributions made by individuals.
We want all of you to be part of this laudable objective which will place your alma mater once again as the pace-setter……...others will follow as we “progress with integrity” to make us all proud !
