Dear all,
The French Department of the University wishes to announce to the University community and the general public, the inception of it's French summer course starting from 11th June to 27th July.
The Summer Course is a language proficiency course intended for the general public and any student desirous of learning French. It is a seven-week intensive modular vacation course with two summers being equivalent equivalent to one semester's work. The following modules will be treated and students are free to choose which module(s) they are interested in:
1. Oral Expression and listening Comprehension
2. Reading Skills and Written Comprehension
3. Grammar and and Written Expression
4. Translation
5. Literature/and Civilization

Each module has six levels similar to the European framework for languages: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2.

There will be three classes with each class comprising two levels:

Beginners Class  A1 and A2
Intermediate Class  B1 and B2
Advanced Class  C1 and C2


There would be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 students in a class. The course will have different sessions as follows:

Morning              9:00-11:00am
(10 hours a week)
Cost: 100GHC per module
3 days per week
Afternoon            2:30-4:30pm
(6 hours a week)
Cost: 70GHC per module
 
 
 
 
Evenings
 
 
 
5 days per week
5:30 - 7:30pm
(10 hours a week)
Cost: 100GHC per module
 
 
 
 
Weekends
Saturdays 9am-12pm
(3 hours a week)
Cost: 50GHC per module
 
 
 
 


The course is open to students and the general public who wish to improve upon a particular language skill, regardless of their educational background or level. Intended participants can purchase a registration form for 5GHC from the Departmental office, Adjacent Volta Hall Car Park.
