| | Inauguration Ceremony: Students Residential Facilities |    | | | There will be a brief ceremony to inaugurate two of the new Residential Facilities that have been completed through the University of Ghana Enterprises Ltd. (UGEL). An official naming ceremony will also be performed in the course of the ceremony.
The first of the UGEL Hostels that was completed was inaugurated in July 2010 during which the Vice-Chancellor announced the decision to name it after Dr. Hilla Limann, a former President of Ghana. The two hostels to be inaugurated at this ceremony are the Alexander Kwapong Hall and the Jean Nelson Hall, named after the first Ghanaian Vice-Chancellor of the University, and a distinguished alumnus, respectively. Each of these Hostels provides accommodation for about 1,700 students, who are expected to come into residence starting from the 2011/2012 academic year.
