| | University Of Ghana Business School Receives Membership To The Association Of African Business Schools |  | | | The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) has been accepted to the membership of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) at a recent meeting of the AABS Board.
Currently there are 25 full AABS members which include some of the highest ranking Business Schools on the African continent. The University of Ghana Business School is therefore ranking with institutions such as the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Pretoria, University of Cape Town Business School and the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
In joining the AABS, UGBS Faculty will have access to a global network and a platform to collaborate nationally and internationally. An AABS membership will also provide the UGBS with opportunity for faculty development programmes, consultant visits to assist the UGBS improve upon the quality of its programmes, and resources to help with capacity building, in addition to the marketing advantage derived from the quality indicated by being able to advertise AABS membership. The UGBS will also benefit from the rotational annual meetings among members of the AABS.
The AABS seeks to promote cooperation among business schools in curriculum and faculty development, research, and quality improvement with a mission “to promote excellence in business and management education in Africa by supporting graduate business schools through capacity building, collaboration and quality improvement”. | | | | Date Published: 12/10/2011 | | | |  | |
