| | UG Signs MOU with the University Of Virgin Islands |    | | |  A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has recently been signed between the University of Ghana and the University of Virgin Islands.
This took place when a delegation from the University of Virgin Islands, led by the President, Dr LaVerne E. Ragster called upon the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. C.N.B. Tagoe. The delegation was in the country to explore cooperation with Ghanaian educational institutions.
Having signed an earlier MOU in 1994, and now revised, the present MOU was signed by Dr. La Verne E. Ragtser (University of Virgin Islands), Ralf Hemmingsen (University of Copenhagen), and Prof. C.N.B. Tagoe (University of Ghana). It centred on academic cooperation, staff and student exchange, aimed at enhancing research and promoting international cooperation.
Under the MOU, the parties are required to cooperate in the exchange of information relating to their operations, promote joint studies and researches and develop students as well as faculty exchange programmes.
The delegation’s visit would also take them to the University of Cape Coast and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
