Egyptian Embassy Supports Study Of Arabicpdf print preview print preview
 

The Egyptian High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Omar Selim, has presented a consignment of Arabic books to the Arabic Section of the Department of Modern Languages of the University. He made the presentation this morning when he called on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ernest Aryeetey. The books were provided by the Al Azhar Al Sharif Institute in Egypt.

His Excellency Omar Selim said the books were donated to enhance the study of Arabic in the University. He added that his country was looking forward to offering more support to the Arabic Section as well as exploring mutually beneficial avenues for staff and student exchange programmes in other disciplines.

Receiving the books, Prof. Aryeetey expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for the donation. He said that the University looked forward to long term collaboration. He assured the Ambassador that the books would be put to good use.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Egyptian Embassy, Wael El Sisi and a lecturer at the Arabic Section of the Department of Modern Languages, Dr. Husseini Ali Atwa.
