| | Vice-Chancellor Attends AAU Conference in South Africa |  | | |

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof Ernest Aryeetey is attending a conference organized by Association of African Universities (AAU), in collaboration with the Stellenbosch University, South Africa for Rectors, Vice-Chancellors and Presidents of African Universities.
The week-long conference, expected to host over 250 participants is on the theme: "Strengthening the Space of Higher Education in Africa".
A release by the Association of African Universities, said the meeting would provide an excellent opportunity for leaders of African higher education institutions to exchange experiences and draw on the lessons on issues relating to the theme and also give them an opportunity to hear from both regional and international organizations involved in higher education initiatives.
The conference is also being attended by Executive Heads of AAU Member Institutions, acclaimed African Scholars, representatives of sub-regional, regional and international organisations, as well as donor and development agencies, Ministers of Higher Education and other policy makers will also be attending. | | | | Date Published: 01/06/2011 | | | |  | |
