Three years after the University acquired a Housing Complex from the defunct Ghana Airways, over 29 housing units have been rehabilitated and will soon be allocated to eligible staff. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. C. N. B. Tagoe recently carried out an inspection of the Kisseiman Residences, accompanied by some officials of the University and members of the Housing Committee
The Director of the Physical Development and Municipal Services, Mr. Philip Azundow who said that the rehabilitation was executed by several construction firms engaged through competitive bidding, estimated the total cost at GH¢600,000 which he said was borne by the University.
The Kisseiman Residences located about two and a half miles from the Legon Campus, encloses nine acres of vacant land, which is earmarked for a high-rise million-gallon water reservoir, electrical power transformer, play-ground for children, and a shopping centre, among others.
